Description

The 32" is where labor savings start to compound. A wider blade means fewer passes, fewer seams to feather, and a flawless skim coat in roughly half the time of a standard finishing knife — without sacrificing finish quality on the long pull.

Built with a 0.5mm stainless steel blade in an aluminum housing, the PLONIC 32" stays flat across the full width so you get the consistent angle that defines a true Level 5 finish.

Built for serious work

  • 0.5mm stainless steel blade — smooth glide on drywall, plaster, and skim coat
  • 32" working width — covers more surface per pass, saves real time on big jobs
  • Stainless steel — corrosion-resistant, survives daily contractor use
  • Ergonomic grip and rounded edge — less hand fatigue, better control
  • Replaceable blade — the end caps open so you swap only the steel when it wears
  • Easy to clean and store — rinse with water, hang it on the wall between jobs

Frequently asked questions

Is a 32" overkill for a single room?
If you're doing one small bathroom, yes — a 24" is fine. If you're skimming a whole basement, garage, or commercial space, the 32" pays for itself in hours saved.

24" vs 32" — which should I buy?
Get the 24" if most of your work is residential walls and ceilings under 200 sq ft per room. Get the 32" if you're doing large open rooms, commercial spaces, or want to cut passes per wall roughly in half.

Does it fit an extension pole?
Yes, it works with a standard extension pole adapter, sold separately. The 6-Piece Kit includes a 32" blade plus a 40–84" handle and adapter.

Can I use the 32" blade solo or do I need a partner?
You can run it solo. The aluminum housing keeps it light enough for one-person work.

Will it leave chatter marks on a long pull?
Not if the blade is clean and the mud is properly mixed. The 0.5mm stainless blade holds its line better than the thin 0.3mm blades that chatter on long pulls.

Can I replace just the steel?
Yes — open the end caps and swap the blade. The aluminum housing keeps going. A replacement blade is not included.

How does this compare to other 32" blades?
Most competitor blades are 0.3mm — too thin to hold a line, so they chatter and flex under pressure. PLONIC's 0.5mm stainless stays flat for smoother, more consistent passes, and the blade is replaceable.

Big Blade, Nice Finish… But Showed Up Beat Up

I picked up this 32" Plonic skimming blade thinking it would magically make my walls look pro, and it does leave a really smooth surface once you get the hang of it. When you load it right and keep a steady angle, it covers a ton of wall in one pass and hides a lot of sins that a regular drywall knife would leave behind. It’s great for big open walls and ceilings where you just want long, clean pulls instead of a million little knife lines. The flip side is: this thing is huge and awkward at first. If your mud is even a little too thick or you don’t keep even pressure, you get chatter lines or skip spots that you have to go back and fix, and your shoulders will definitely feel it after a while. What really annoyed me, though, is that it showed up damaged—the end piece was half torn off and loose in the packaging, so I had to mess with it before I could even use the thing. For something this big and not exactly cheap, I expected better packaging and quality control.

Love it!

I have an old home, and many of my walls need a ton of work, so this tool is going to really speed up the process, it's bigger and heavier than I thought it would be, which is good, it means it will last a long time, and provide a very smooth finish. Tools like this make the job so much easier, faster, and give better results, I can't tell you how many times I have struggled to fix something in my home simply because I didn't have the correct tool, and tools like these are well worth the price you pay just based off the time and ease of use.

Game-changer for big walls and ceilings – worth every penny!

Game-changer for big walls and ceilings – worth every penny!I picked up this Plonic 32-inch skimming blade for a full-house drywall skim coat project (old home reno with lots of imperfect walls). I've used smaller knives before and even a Level5 blade on past jobs, but I wanted something longer to cover more ground faster without as many passes.Right out of the box, the build quality impressed me. The stainless steel blade is a nice thin 0.50mm – flexible enough to follow slight contours but rigid where it counts. The red alloy housing feels solid and lightweight, not cheap or flimsy like some no-name brands. The raised edges/grips on the back make it comfortable to hold for long stretches, and it has a little hanging hole which is handy in the shop.Paired it with an extension pole (not included, but fits standard threads perfectly), and it glides over the mud like butter. I was getting dead-flat finishes on 10-12 ft walls and ceilings with minimal effort – way less wrist fatigue than my old 16-24" knives. It feathers edges beautifully, leaves almost no lap marks if you keep your pressure even, and cleans up super easy with just a wipe (rust-resistant too, no issues after multiple wet wipes). For the price, this thing punches way above its weight class compared to the big-name premium blades that cost 2-3x more. If you're doing medium to large areas and want pro-level results without breaking the bank, grab this Plonic 32-incher. Highly recommend – I'll be buying the smaller sizes in the set next for detail work.Pros:Lightweight yet sturdySmooth, flexible blade for flawless skimsComfortable grip designGreat valueCons: None for me so far!If you're on the fence, just go for it – made my job so much quicker and easier.

Professional finish, half the effort

This 32-inch Skimming Blade is an absolute lifesaver for drywall finishing. The 0.50mm stainless steel blade provides the perfect balance of flex and rigidity, leaving a level 5 finish that requires almost zero sanding. Covers wide areas in a single pass, making butt joints a breeze. The stainless steel is durable, easy to clean, and hasn't rusted. Feathers edges perfectly with minimal pressure.

Nice Skimming Knife for the Money

I am not a contractor or a professional drywaller, but I have done enough drywall work over the years to know when a tool makes the job easier. I picked this up to skim coat an older wall during a renovation and did not want to spend the kind of money the big box stores are asking for these blades. This skimming knife feels really solid for the price. The handle is plastic, but it has a good texture and feels sturdy in the hand with no flex while working. The blade itself came perfectly straight and mounted securely right out of the box. Once I got the hang of it, it did a great job pulling mud smoothly across the wall without leaving chatter marks. It did not take much practice to start getting clean results, even on a larger section of wall. Cleanup was easy and the blade held its shape the entire time. For someone doing home renovations or occasional drywall work, this feels like a great value and absolutely gets the job done without feeling cheap.

Good tool

This is a good smoother. I used it for making textured walls smooth. This is the first time I have used an item like this, and I will keep using it. Cost is decent, light weight and easy to use. The quality is good. I like this tool.

Really FANTASTIC Tool!!

Skim coating is usually the part of a project where my patience runs out. This blade genuinely changed that!I ordered the 32" Plonic for a larger refinish project and immediately noticed how controlled it feels for its size. It’s wide, but not awkward. You’re not fighting it, and it doesn’t feel like it wants to flex or chatter on you. Once you get your pressure right, it just… behaves. What surprised me most was how consistent the finish was. Fewer touch-ups, fewer “let me go back and fix that one spot” moments. It lays material evenly, feathers cleanly, and doesn’t leave those annoying lines that show up later when everything dries. I also used it with quick-dry cement on part of my stoop and it handled that just as smoothly.Comfort-wise, it’s solid. Long passes didn’t wreck my wrists or shoulders, and it stayed comfortable even after a full session. Cleanup is fast, which matters more than you think at the end of a long day.Bottom line: this doesn’t feel like a gimmick or a budget compromise. It feels like a tool that was actually designed by someone who’s done the work before. Highly recommend. I’d order it again without hesitation!

Flattens Surface Efficiently.

This tool got rid of all the time that I spend trying to feather the edges of all my taped seams. As long as there's a good amount of soft mud, this will spread it like it is butter. I really love the width of this tool that it makes plastering much more enjoyable. Other than that, it's made very well. The handle is very strong and uses a thick polymer that cannot break when accidentally dropped. I wouldn't recommend accidentally dropping this on tile though because it may bend the blade. As for the blade, it is stainless steel. The edge of the steel is perfect and straight. There are no warps at all or blemishes for that matter. The end caps are pretty clean too following the body lines of the handle. Cleaning this is very easy. You can easily disassemble this just to clean it thoroughly if you want. I changed the end screws to stainless just to make sure that this will last me for a very long time. Overall, this is made very well and designed very well to be comfortable in your hands while spreading plaster. It saves a lot of time and guesswork which makes this well worth it.
