16" Skimming Blades

The 16" is the repair and detail blade in the PLONIC range. It skims a drywall patch flat in a pass or two, works between studs and around outlets, and beds tape faster than a taping knife. Every 16" blade here carries a 0.5mm European stainless steel insert in an aircraft-grade aluminum housing, and the insert slides out through the end caps so you replace the steel, not the tool.

Who buys a 16" skimming blade

Repair-heavy remodelers, painters who fix walls before they paint, and DIYers taking on their first skim coat. If most of your work is patches, corners and second-coating seams rather than open walls, this is the size to start with. For full walls step up to a 24" or 32".
